    Google Ads

ALPINRESORTS.com uses Google Ads, an analytical service provided by Google and, in the context of Google Ads, conversion tracking. Google Ads places a cookie for conversion tracking on your computer's hard drive (a so-called "conversion cookie") when you click on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website, Google and we can recognise that you have clicked on the ad and have been redirected to this page. The information obtained using the conversion cookies is used to create statistics for Google Ads customers who use conversion tracking. Through these statistics, we learn the total number of users who clicked on the ad placed by Google and visited a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not obtain any information with which users can be personally identified. We cannot assign the data obtained to specific users. In addition to conversion tracking, we also use advanced conversion tracking. Advanced Conversion Tracking is a processor service. This means that Google cannot use any of the personal data passed on by advertisers for its own purposes, as all data is hashed before it is sent to Google. The industry-accepted hash algorithm SHAA256 is used for this purpose. We also use the following functions

    1. Remarketing
    2. Target groups with common interests
    3. User-defined target groups with common interests
    4. Target groups which are ready to make a purchase
    5. Similar target groups
    6. Demographic and geographic orientation

With the Google remarketing function we can reach users who have already visited our website. In that way we can present our advertising to target groups who have already shown an interest in our products or services. With the help of user behaviour on websites in Google’s advertising network (‘Display Network’) during the previous 30 days, and using a context-related search engine AdWords also identifies the common interests and characteristics which users of our website exhibit. On the basis of that information AdWords then finds new potential customers for marketing purposes whose interests and characteristics resemble those of the users of our website. Remarketing which is specific to target groups combines the use of cookies such as Google Analytics cookies und Google DoubleClick cookies.

Period of storage: the cookies used by AdWords are effective for up to 2 years.

With the help of that cookie your browser is allocated a pseudonymous identification number and information is gathered about the advertising which is imported into your browser and whether it is called up. The information about your use of websites which the cookie gathers will usually be relayed to a Google server in the USA and stored there. On the basis of the information gathered categories which are relevant to your interests will be allocated to your browser. Those categories will be used to place advertising which is relevant to your interests.

As well as changing the settings on your browser you can, with the help of a browser plug-in, deactivate the DoubleClick cookie permanently. With the plug-in your deactivation settings for that browser will be maintained, even if you delete all cookies. You can obtain the browser plug-in for for permanent deactivation here: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de By using our website you consent to the insertion of the DoubleClick cookie and also to the collection, storage and use of data relating to your use in the way described above for the purposes specified.
