    Ad Words

www.ALPINRESORTS.com uses Google AdWords, an analytical service provided by Google and, in the context of Google AdWords, conversion tracking. This involves Google AdWords storing a cookie for conversion tracking on your computer’s hard disk (known as a ‘conversion cookie’) whenever you click on an advertisement placed by Google. Such cookies cease to be effective after 30 days and are not used for the purposes of personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website, Google and we can see that you clicked on the advertisement and have been redirected to this page. Information obtained using conversion cookies is used to produce statistics for AdWord customers who use conversion tracking. Those statistics reveal for us the total number of users who have clicked on the advertisement placed by Google and have called up a page which is provided with a conversion tracking tag. We do not, however, obtain any information which enables us to identify users. The information obtained cannot be associated with specific users. As well as conversion tracking we also use the following functions

    1. Remarketing
    2. Target groups with common interests
    3. User-defined target groups with common interests
    4. Target groups which are ready to make a purchase
    5. Similar target groups
    6. Demographic and geographic orientation

With the Google remarketing function we can reach users who have already visited our website. In that way we can present our advertising to target groups who have already shown an interest in our products or services. With the help of user behaviour on websites in Google’s advertising network (‘Display Network’) during the previous 30 days, and using a context-related search engine AdWords also identifies the common interests and characteristics which users of our website exhibit. On the basis of that information AdWords then finds new potential customers for marketing purposes whose interests and characteristics resemble those of the users of our website. Remarketing which is specific to target groups combines the use of cookies such as Google Analytics cookies und Google DoubleClick cookies.

Period of storage: the cookies used by AdWords are effective for up to 2 years.
