- Since Winterberg has joined forces with the neighbouring ski areas of Altastenberg, Neuastenberg and Willigen and the various pistes are also connected by lifts, it is called a ski carousel - comparable to a ski swing.
- The Winterberg ski carousel has a west-east extension of 2.5 and a north-south extension of about 2 kilometres. The lowest point is the valley station of the Kappe chairlift at 590 m, the highest point is on the Bremberg at approx. 810 m - the Kahle Asten is not accessible all the way to the summit.
- The Winterberg ski lift carousel was the first 8-seater chairlift in Germany in 2012.
- This 8-seater chairlift has an underground valley station.
- Between 2010 and 2015, 8 chairlifts, a surface lift and a conveyor belt were built - Winterberg thus has the most modern inventory and the highest number of chairlifts in the whole of Germany.
