Val d'Isere is a ski resort lying at 6,070 feet (at its lowest point) and the ski area rises to 11,340 feet, with working verticals of more than 3,250 feet in all sectors of the resort. Situated in the Tarentaise area of the Savoie department in France, Val d'Isère's satellite villages vary from the charming traditional ambiance of Le Fornet to the slightly brutal modern and higher rise of La Daille
Val d'Isere combined with ski domain of Tignes forms the ‘Espace Killy’ Named after France’s Olympic downhill skiing champion Jean Claude Killy offers over 300km of pisted skiing and together with over 150 km ‘off- pisted’. Val d'Isere also offers some luxurious resorts and the ski hire Val d'Isere on the mountain top, some even offering direct access from the cottages to have a wonderful skiing experience right from your doorstep.
Not just skiing, Val d'Isere is a top destination with a vibrant and lively atmosphere centered on the wide main street that runs the length of the town with Fashion shops, bars, Ski hire and cafes to name a few.

Village Church that inhabited ValDissss is still a vital much part of the town and an attractive place to visit in this beautiful architectural village with historical stone structures. A certain Savoyard way of life is embodied in these traditional stone and wood houses.
For the art lovers, Galerie Jane Griffiths and Galerie Daniel Bessiche museum provides a good blend of artistic display of Contemporary International Art, painting and sculpture

Some of the mountain points offer Paragliding courses which is a great activity to appreciate the splendor of the snow peaked mountain from the skies. Other snow adventures include ice climbing, husky sledging and glacier walking
Every Thursday, the town is pedestrianised by closing the main high street for all vehicles and transforms from the mundane Val d'Isere ski hire shops into a funfair with public display of street entertainment, local foods, music and parades
There is also a local market put up every Monday near the local tourist office where locals from nearby areas display the local produce. This is a pertinent place to shop and experience the delicacy of true France

Number of small ‘hamlets’ are an integral part of Val d'Isere" with each of them having it’s own distinctiveness and a diverse story to tell.
La Daille is situated at a short distance of Val d'Isere and is the modern side of the resort with some high raising apartments. It is very near to the town center where you can gratify your shopping desire for local produce and ski hire. La Daille also provides those patrty animals a decent nightlife to socialize after the lng day skiing.
Le Fornet a quiet yet beautiful place about 5km from Val d'Isere and a favourites for off-piste skiers.Le Fornet also provides a cross country skiing track and the only glacier skiing at 3400m.
Like Val d'Isere, Le Fornet comprises of good dining places and a local town center for ski hire and other shopping needs.
