About Les Houches

Located on 1008 meters above sea level the village of Les Houches stretches across the basin of Arve in the Savoys on the northern base of the Mont Blanc. The Parish area reaches from the Aiguillette des Houches to the iced crest of the Dôme du Goûter in 4304 meters.

Mentionable in Les Houches is the baroque church Saint-Jean-Baptiste from 1734 which is really worth seeing.

In the surroundings you can also find several small chapels, for example the Chapel of Vaudagne from the 17th century. On a ledge on the northern hillside of the Arve one can visit a minumental Christ statue built in 1934.
