About Le Corbier

Le Corbier Le Corbier is a part of the fourth largest French ski resort, in the Savoie region of Les Sybelles, located in the French Alps. Family orientated, the resort features many and varied entertainments, as well as easy access to shopping and ski hire facilities.
From Le Corbier itself, skiers have access to 310 km of slopes, 90 belonging to the resort and the rest connected by lifts to nearby La Toussuire and St Sorlin d'Arves areas. It is possible to ski back from a day on the slopes, because many accommodations are very close to it, or actually open onto the piste, which is the center of everything during the day. Walking in the village is a visual treat, not only can the surrounding peaks of the French Alps being seen, but they are the background of a purposefully designed modern village. The most striking feature of Le Corbier has to be the almost stark buildings dominating the village, beautifully maintained in their original style as designed by Le Corbusier. All that culture does not seem to affect the residents, who have, in many cases owned the shops and cafes since the resort opened and treat visitors with friendliness and enthusiasm. The village has wisely banned vehicles in its center, making it a safe place for families with small children to explore the delights, which include theatre, an outside skating rink, an equestrian center and many sports and ski shops where Le Corbier ski hire is easy to find. After dark, try an evening at Le Club Sweet, or enjoy French cuisine at one of the many fine restaurants. Once a week, the famous torch-lit parade descends the piste, involving most of the village’s residents and guests.
