The recommended time for skiing in the area is from the middle of December up to the middle of March. During this time, there are plenty of possibilities for ski hire in La Norma, snowboarding and other outdoor activities. The net of ski resorts in this area of France is very close knit. At La Norma, there are twentyseven slopes between which you can choose altogether. Several of them are black ones (about eleven) but unexperienced skiers will find their matching slopes, too. Especially the children will love this place. La Norma also hosts a cinema and there is a special area for snow tubing. Several places offer ski hire La Norma and ski equipment for all visitors.

A trip to Modane can be an interesting alternative to your daily skiing routine, or you may choose to visit one of the other famous ski resorts in the Savoie area. Longer trips could take you across the border into Switzerland, the land of chocolate and beautiful lakes, or you choose to visit one of the big cities like Geneva.
