About Flaine

In the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps Flaine is located 1600 m above sea level in the territory of the communes of Magland and Arâches and it has about 3000 residents. Flaine consists of three different parts: Flaine-Foret, Flaine-Forum (the city centre) and Flaine-Front-de-Neige. Flaine-Forum and Flaine-Front-de-Neige are car free zones but linked to each other via two lifts.

A Heliport is located in Flaine. On the flights you can enjoy the view of the Grand Massif and the Mont Blanc. Also you can do Ice Driving or Paragliding. There is a cultural centre which hosts exhibitions and includes a library. A Bowling and an Indoor Climbing area as well as a Top Form Centre with finish sauna and massages are located in Flaine also.

Bus services are available several times a day to the Giffre Valley, where buses to Geneva and Chamomix can be accessed. Bus trips to Italy via the Mont Blanc tunnel are also possible.
