About Combloux
Located in Haute Savoie just twenty miles from Mont Blanc in the French Alps, Combloux is a mountain village ski resort in the French Alps. It is close enough to Mount Blanc that the majestic alpine mountain is always visible, and, along with several other alpine villages, is part of the “Evasion Mount-Blanc” skiing area. Not only is Combloux a great skiing getaway, it also has hiking and biking trails, along with a large mountain lake designed open to swimmers in the summer.

Events for Kids in Combloux
As part of Combloux’s resort services, parents who want to hit the slopes can hire a baby sitter for their children from ages three months to seven years. Children who are at least three and a half can enjoy learning how to ski with ski instructors at the Snowgarden, a unique inflatable park. The Snowgarden Ski School is open from 9:30am to 5pm daily.
Combloux also offers a Leisure Center for children between the ages of four and twelve every Wednesday and all school holidays, including summers. At the Leisure Center, children enjoy a variety of sports, arts and crafts, tours, and indoor and outdoor games.

Summer in Combloux
Visitors need not wait until winter to visit this mountain resort; summer holidays, too, are filled with activity in Combloux. The surrounding area includes nearly two hundred miles of hiking trails; an equestrian center offers pony and horseback riding through the mountain meadows; mountain bikers can use the lifts during the summer months; and air sports, such as a hot air balloon trip, are also available.
Combloux offers guests a wide variety of water sports, from swimming in France’s first ecological lake to fishing and canoeing. Golfers can spend the summers in Combloux on a Robert Trent-Jones designed course, surrounded by magnificent mountain views.
Tourists can also check out the local culture, visiting some of the many surrounding villages, including Sallanches, an old market town completely rebuilt in the mid-nineteenth century, and Megeve, a ritzier town whose resort was designed with royalty in mind by the Baronness de Rothschild in the 1920s.
