About Sölden
Sölden is a popular ski resort which has about 4000 habitants. You will find a very good organized ski hire in Sölden. The community is localized on the southern part of the Ötztal. Because the borough is 1368 meters above the sea level the view of the landscape is awesome. Also Sölden is the greatest borough in Austria. Anger, Neder, Rofan, Mittelwindau or Lochlehn are districts of the borough Sölden. Neighboring communities are Längenfeld,Kaunertal,Neustift in Stubaital and Leonhard in Pitztal.Besides the highest peak there is the "Wildspitze" which has a height of 3768 metres.

Sölden has over 30 lifts and mountain railways, about 150 slope kilometers. It’s an amazing area for walking tours.
The community offers its tourist also a lot of unique sights like the place of discovery of Ötzi the iceman. The mummy found in 1991 is called Ötzi because of the Ötztal Alps, a mountain range. Now Ötzi is in the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano, a city in Italy.
Furthermore tourists can visit the museum of local history in Sölden. There they can get to know about the history of Sölden.
The second museum is the open-air museum there. It’s a singular adventure for adults and children.
Moreover the minerals museum is also an attraction in Sölden. The museum has the largest display of minerals in west Austria.
The "Gletscherpanoramastraße", a large street between Sölden and the glaciers of the "Ötztal", guides the tourist through a fantastic world of giant mountains and glaciers. Far away from slopes and the local Sölden ski hire, you will have a pleasant time.

In addition the toboggan run is en vogue. From the Gaislach-mountain pasture the toboggan run guides you back to Sölden. Tourits have to take cars or busses for the approach. The toboggan run is lighted and over 5 kilometres long.
The ski-school "Yellow Power" offers ski- and also snowboard-courses. Also children have the chance to learn to ski or snowboard. A adept guide will direct you through the whole lessons.
After a varied and very interesting day in Sölden it´s time for party for example in the "Snow Rock Cafe".In addition to a big party every evening the club offers also a "chill-out-zone".
