About Ried im Oberinntal
The Ried im Oberinntal municipality lies in the Tyrolean district of Landeck. It is located 12km south of the city of Landeck and is just 3km away from the village of Prutz. It has an elevation of 876m, had a population of 1,279 in 2008 and relies mostly on tourism to survive. And as, in Austria, tourism is mainly skiing and ski hire, both are prevalent in Reid.
Show sights
Apart from its skiing and ski hire amenities, Ried has many attractions to offer the visitor. These include the beautiful Lindenplatz Chapel designed by baroque sculptor Andreas Koelle, the War Memorial dedicated to the fallen of both world wars and the ancient Roman Bridge thought to have been part of the Via Claudia Augusta. But, in Reid, skiing and ski hire are still the #1 attraction, especially during the winter months.
