Lienz Lienz, Austria is a small, picturesque medieval town in the Tyrol region. It is the administrative centre of the Lienz district (Bezirk), covering East Tyrol. Rivers Isel and Drava flow near Lienz, nestled between the Hohe Tauern mountains and the Gailtal Alps. The municipality also includes Patriasdorf.
