Many sporting activates are available on the lake such as fishing, swimming, and rowing. Electric boats are ready to rent on the banks of the lake. Outside of the lake, fitness courses and walking trails are frequented by locals. Also located near Kitzbühel is Bergbahn museum. Bergbahn means “mountain museum” and is a one-of-a-kind museum situated at 1,700 meters above sea level. Over 100 years of skiing history are exhibited, including archaic skiing equipment and gear. Along with the history of skiing, the museum also showcases the art of lift building.
