Show sights

One of the most interesting places to visit in Inneralpbach is the Vorder-Unterberg Mountain Farming Museum, which is nestled at the foot of the forest above Inneralpbach's tiny church. The farm was built by local carpenters between 1636 and 1638 and lived in and operated as a working farm until as late as 1952. Today the museum holds more than 800 artefacts used in daily farming life over the last centuries, and these are exhibited throughout the farm including in the smokehouse, kitchen, chapel and old parlour. But skiing, ski hire and snowboarding will undoubtedly be the most important reasons for your visit to Inneralpbach. After you pick up your skis at the Inneralpbach ski hire facility, why not board the recently renovated gondola ski-lift and travel in style to the top of the Weidersbergerhorn. All local ski runs are to be found on this mountain, which sprawls across the Alpbach-Inneralpbach area.

Show destinations

The village of Alpbach, which was voted "The Most Beautiful Floral Village In Europe" in 1993, is an easy walk from Inneralpbach and is one of Austria's most famous ski resorts and ski hire locations. The famous Alpbach-Inneralpbach Ski and Snowboarding School has its home in Alpbach and a skier will find his technique improving greatly after only a few lessons. A short drive away at the base of the Krimml Waterfall is the Krimml Water Wonder World. This popular attraction is a family oriented waterpark with interactive multimedia water shows and Max, the animated water sculpture. Hiking is another popular pastime, as is mountain biking, and visitors can enjoy magnificent scenery while climbing the difficult Gratlspitze Ridge or walking the easier Panoramaweg. But nothing is better than strolling through the beautiful village on your way to your favourite ski hire shop in Inneralpbach prior to tackling some of the Weidersbergerhorn's famous runs, halfpipes and densely packed pistes.
