About Fiss

Fiss Fiss is a quaint village in the Austrian Tyrol located approximately one hour from the Innsbruck airport at a 1440 meter elevation (4700 feet). Fiss receives more sunshine than other ski resorts in the region, ensuring a comfortable day on the slopes. The town was recognized for being the "Family Village in the Tyrol," and accommodations offer day care, children's activities, and convenient ski hire.
Fiss is part of the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area. With a single ski pass, Fiss skiers can experience 160 kilometers of downhill skiing accessed by 53 lifts. Fiss ski hire shops rent ski and snow boarding equipment for beginners or experts. In addition to ski hire in Fiss, the sports shop have winter gear for sale, ski repair and tuning services.
The area has a variety of activities for downhill enthusiasts including snowboard parks with lounging areas, race and carving courses, moguls and special slopes with features for children. Ski hire Fiss gives visitors the chance to try demo skis, or learn snowboarding.

Year round, guests can brave the unique "Fisser Flieger" adventure where guests tour the city as they can dangle from a hang glider.
Every Tuesday, the "mountain comes alive" when Fiss presents Nightflow 3.0. The weekly event includes night skiing, buffets, ski demonstrations, fireworks, and laser shows. Winter is also time for the December snow festival.
Non-skiers can tour the Rhaeto-Romanic town center with ancient churches, art galleries, and other historical sites or relax in the spa at the Schlosshotel Fiss. Apres-ski activities in town consist of dining at quiet restaurants. Those seeking more exciting night life can travel to nearby Serfaus which has restaurants and nightclubs.

Outside Fiss, guests can visit the Altfinstermunz Fortress, a former border post built by the Romans in the 1200s. Mysterious "earth pyramids" and the ancient "Serfeus Madonna statue" can be seen 3 km from town, along with other ancient Christian relics.
Fiss is a short distance from Innsbruck, a former winter Olympic site, and the capital of city of Tyrol. Guests can spend days touring its art galleries, enjoying fine dining, and visiting its numerous historic attractions.
