Zell am See is located in the province Salzburg and is one of the most popular ski and health resorts in Austria. In fact it is the most important holiday destination in all of Austria and Europe. The town has 100.000 inhabitants and is an important junction in Salzburg where you also find many ski hire shops. The Zeller valley is the connection between the Saalach and the Salzach valley and the centre clearly is the Zeller Lake which is 4 kilometres long. Since “Zell am See” is submontaned to the mountain “Schmittenhöhe” and close to the mountain “Hundstein” which is part of the Salzburger Schieferalpen it attracts tourists from all over the world who like to go skiing.
