About Saalbach

Saalbach is a small town in the district of Zell Am See in the state of Salzburg, Austria. It has a population of arund 1800 people as of 2001. This town is situated in the mountain region at a elevation of 1003 meters. The nearest city from Saalbach is Zall Am See, located 20 km east. The main interest in Saalbach is it's famous ski resort. This town was the host of the Alpine Ski World Championship held in 1991 and still is the biggest international event in this area.
