About Hermagor

Hermagor Located on the borders of Austria, Italy, and Slovenia in Carinthia, is the beautiful town of Hermagor. Named after Saint Hermagoras, it has become a favourite area for both winter and summer activities.

Hermagor is one of the larger ski resorts in the Alps. During the winter months it offers thirty kilometers of easy skiing, sixty kilometers of land with medium difficulty and only twenty kilometers of difficult skiing. The skis can be ordered online before leaving home and will be available to pick up in the Hermagor ski hire store when you arrive. There is also cross country skiing, carriage rides, and snowboarding. Helmets, snowshoes, snowboards and boots can be rented at the ski hire in Hermagor.

Hermagor can be found near Pressegger Lake, which is one of the warmest in Austria. This makes it ideal during the summer for swimming and river tubing. Hiking, mountain climbing and a summer tobaggan run only add to the fun. There is also eighty kilometers of mountain bike trails to enjoy.
For great shopping visit the Essl Rucksack and Bag Factory located here. Check out the contemporary art housed in the Art-Kultur Museum. Spend some time at the Museum of Gailtal.
